Powdery Mildew
Powdery mildew is a fungal disease that produces a pale, powder-like coating on foliage.
It is particularly common where susceptible plants are grown with poor airflow.
Signs of Powdery Mildew
Look for white or grey powdery patches, distorted young leaves, reduced vigour, or premature leaf damage.
What to Do
Remove badly affected leaves where appropriate and improve airflow around the tree.
Avoid overcrowding plants.
Persistent infections may require a fungicide approved for powdery mildew and suitable for the plant concerned.
